Popis kurzu

  • Kurz obsahuje 60 akademických hodin (60x45min)
  • Malé skupinky (max. 6-10 lidí)
  • Výuka probíhá na základě anglického, německého nebo ruského jazyka
  • Koncepce výuky je sestavena v souladu s požadavky Evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky
  • Učitelé používají dobře osvědčené metody výuky českého jazyka jako cizího, přehledně vysvětlují funkci a použití jazyka v praxi
  • Výuka probíhá poutavou a zábavnou formou
  • Po složení závěrečné zkoušky na konci kurzu student obdrží Osvědčení o úspěšném absolvování jazykového kurzu
  • V případě potřeby bude studentovi nabídnuto složení certifikované zkoušky na úrovni A1

Výukový plán kurzu

The objective of the course is: To achieve the beginners’ level of knowledge of Czech language (A1).

Course materials: Our tutors use the most up-to-date educational materials from the authors with extensive experience of teaching Czech as a foreign language, which are published by Karolinum, Academia, Akropolis. We also use additional materials designed specifically for the course, which students are provided with free of charge.

Content of the course:

The course is comprised of two main parts: the grammatical and lexical-grammatical

Grammatical part of the course

  • Get familiar with the Czech alphabet and specifics of pronunciation.
  • Master basic grammar and its active practical use (Verb "to be" conjugation of the regular and some of the irregular verbs, possessive pronouns, adjectives, quantitative and ordinal numerals, word order, interrogatives, present and future tenses).
  • Common communication starting from the 1st session.
  • Use of audio recordings in order to develop - understanding, correct pronunciation and intonation.
  • Grammar test to consolidate the acquired knowledge + oral exam.

The second lexical - grammatical part of the course

  • Get familiar and working with the main vocabulary, divided by topics, ranging from the simples (such as Family and Home), to more complex (Human body, at Doctor’s). You will be able to effectively use the acquired vocabulary in the texts, dialogues, communication and writing. Students learn to react spontaneously and correctly in different situations. They will get to know the cultural and linguistic features of the Czech language. Students will as well improve reading skills and pronunciation. You will be able to use the grammatical knowledge base in communication, dialogues and writing.
  • The course will finish with the lexical-grammatical test + oral exam.

The main outcomes of the course:

  • Reading skills, Czech pronunciation and intonation
  • Basics of the grammar (see written above).
  • Development of speaking skills, understanding and responding accordingly in the following situations:
    • Self-presentation (about yourself, family, entertainment)
    • At School / Work / University
    • Accommodation / How to rent or buy an apartment / Announcements
    • Food / in the Restaurant
    • Clothing / Communication in the shop
    • How can I get to ... / In the city center / Transport
    • Travel / Seasons, weather
    • Human Body / Diseases / At the doctor’s and the pharmacy
  • Understanding of Czech in the dialogues, communication on those topics that students are already familiar with
